City Council will spend $36 million from a Neighborhood Infrastructure Bond to fund road improvements, park and community center upgrades, new sidewalks and crosswalks and bolder bike lanes and bike boxes. Work is underway on the first round of projects, including $6 million that will be spent on resurfacing city streets.
Swamp Rabbit Trail users will follow a short detour in place for four weeks, as SCDOT has begun repairs on the Academy Street bridge over Linky Stone Park. Some pathways in the park are closed during the work. View the Detour
