Submitting An Event to the Community Calendar


All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.

Fare Free Day - Sponsored by Greenville Connects

Greenville Connects has sponsored a Fare Free Day in celebration of World Car Free Day on Friday, September 22 to encourage community members to try using an alternative mode of transportation for just one day! Hop on board any fixed route bus for a free ride! Paratransit customers will also receive free rides, but reservations must be made by September 21.

Greenlink passengers can use the Google Transit tool at www.ridegreenlink.com to plan their free trips on September 22. Customers are also encouraged to download the Transit app in the Android or iOS app store to get real-time arrival information for the buses.
