Fireworks on the Fourth at Unity Park

Fireworks will return to the City of Greenville on Monday, with the Fireworks on the Fourth Independence Day celebration at Unity Park.

The free event begins at 6 p.m. and wraps up with fireworks from 9:45 to 10 p.m.

South Carolina Army National Guard’s 246 Army Band will perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Before you head to the park, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Parking
There are seven free parking lots and nine paid lots within one mile of Unity Park. You can leave your car in a downtown garage and take the free trolley starting at 4 p.m. or walk to Unity Park along the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

The trolley will run from 4 to 9 p.m. then from 10 to 11 p.m. Trolley service pauses between 9 and 10 p.m., as the route passes through the fallout zone.

Road Closures and Travel
Parts of Hudson and Mayberry Streets will be closed starting at 3 p.m.

After the show, workers will take 15 to 30 minutes to clear the fallout zone. Hudson Street and the Swamp Rabbit Trail crossing at Hudson Street will be closed until that area is cleaned up. If you are headed toward downtown, plan to wait about 20 minutes before you begin moving back to your car.
