[ARCHIVED] Homicide Investigation at Main and Stone Apartments

At approximately 5:07 PM today, officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim on the third floor of the parking garage at Main and Stone Apartments. Officers located a female with a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a white SUV. Greenville County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene; however, the female was deceased. Greenville Police detectives, Greenville County Forensics, and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.

Shortly after the arrival of officers, we were informed that a 36 year old white female suspect had fled the scene in a black SUV, which we determined was a Jeep Patriot.

We immediately notified our neighboring law enforcement agencies, and the media, to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle. A local news photographer on his way home spotted the vehicle at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office responded to that location and located the black Jeep Patriot, locked and running. There were three deceased individuals found inside the vehicle, with what appear to be gunshot wounds.

The Greenville Police Department will continue working closely with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, as both scenes appear to be related. There is no reason to believe that there is an emergent danger to the public as a result of today’s events, as all parties relevant to both incidents have been accounted for.

We will continue to update our communities as information can be made available. We ask for your patience, as investigation and forensics will take time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all parties involved in these tragic events.
