McDaniel Avenue Repaving Project

map showing McDaniel Avenue paving project location and detour routes

Milling is scheduled to begin on McDaniel Avenue, between Ridgeland Drive and Augusta Street, on Thursday, September 23. This work is expected to take two days to complete. On Monday, September 27, the contractor will begin the patching process, which will take 2 to 3 weeks to complete. Weather permitting, the final paving will begin in mid-October and be completed by the end of the month.

Work will take place during daytime hours Monday through Friday, although some Saturday work may be necessary. Due to the scope of the project, there will be ongoing lane closures; however, street crossings will remain open unless crews are actively working at an intersection. Access to residences will be maintained but non-local traffic is encouraged to follow the posted detour routes.
