Timmons Park Improvements Underway

Map showing one-way traffic flow direction through Timmons Park

Beginning Monday, May 3, access into and out of Timmons Park will be one-way as the City begins a project to improve ADA accessibility in and around the park. The project scope includes replacing the existing playground equipment, reconstructing the pickleball courts, installing a new picnic pad and table to provide shade and seating, reconfiguring the existing parking lot and adding additional parking along the upper road. Pickleball enthusiasts are directed to Gower and McPherson parks while construction is underway.

The restrooms, baseball field, disc golf course, picnic shelter and green space will remain open; however, beginning May 3, the area directly in front of the restrooms is expected to be closed for approximately four months. The public will receive a one-week notice of pickleball court closures, once a work schedule is established. Replacement of the playground equipment will begin in June and take 30 days to complete. When the equipment has been replaced, the playground will be reopened.
