Submitting An Event to the Community Calendar


All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.

La Maitrise de Reims Children's Choir

Chicora Voices, the children’s choir of Greenville, will present a concert with La Maîtrise de Rheims Children’s Choir on Monday, April 1 at 7:00pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A variety of works will be performed to be chosen from 13th century Gregorian chant to Renaissance and Baroque motets to 20th century masters John Rutter and Alice Parker. Chicora Voices’ Young Men, Young Women, Boys, and Girls Choirs will be featured on several pieces as the host choir for this stop. A reception will follow. Tickets are available online at www.chicoravoices.org/tickets and will be available at the door. The Maîtrise of Rheims Cathedral was founded in 1285 making it one the longest established musical foundations in France. Directed by Sandrine Lebec, the cathedral’s choirs consist of 220 boys and girls aged between 7 and 15. The Choir will be in Greenville, SC as part of their tour of the United States which includes performances in Atlanta, Charlotte, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
