One of Greenville’s greatest attractions is its system of city parks. The goal of the City's Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is to ensure that Greenville’s parks remain attractive and inviting for public use. The department oversees over 40 city parks and gardens occupying more than 400 acres of land within the city. In managing Greenville’s parks, our staff provides a variety of appealing programs and activities for our residents and visitors.
The Parks and Recreation Department also manages a variety of public gardens and green spaces. Our neighborhood park system extends through many of Greenville's historic neighborhoods.
