Passes & Fares

Single-ride tickets and transfer tickets can be purchased on the bus using cash and coins.

Exact change is required if paying with cash and coins; fare boxes will not issue change or change receipts. Fare boxes will not accept bills larger than $1 for single trips, or larger than $5 for a Day Pass. Please alert the driver you are purchasing a Day Pass before inserting the bills.

Day Passes, 7-Day Passes, 20-Ride Passes, and 31-Day Passes can be purchased at the information booth in the Transit Center (100 W. McBee Avenue) using cash, VISA or MasterCard. The information booth will not accept bills larger than $20.

Customers can also pay their bus fare using a reloadable smart card or a smartphone app. Learn more about Greenlink’s Umo Pass / TouchPass electronic ticketing system. The Umo Pass / TouchPass is required for customers purchasing the 7-Day Pass, 20-Ride Pass, and the 31-Day Pass.

*Effective January 1, 2021: paper punch passes will no longer be accepted as fare payment to board a Greenlink bus. Greenlink ended sales of all paper punch passes on July 1, 2020 and provided customers with a six-month window to use any remaining punches on their paper punch passes. Customers must now purchase all trip-based passes through the electronic Umo / TouchPass system.

Additionally, effective January 1, 2021, passengers using Umo / TouchPass must have enough money in their Umo / TouchPass account to pay for the entire fare in order to board the bus. Payment can be loaded onto Umo / TouchPass accounts by visiting the dispatch booth and using cash, coins, or credit/debit cards. Umo / TouchPass smart card users can also log onto UmoPass.com to upload value using a credit/debit card. Umo / TouchPass app users can make transactions inside the app using credit/debit cards.

Greenlink will not issue refunds for unused tickets, passes, or Umo / TouchPass balances.

*Effective July 1, 2022: Greenlink will no longer accept single-ride tickets without the QR code. Customers receiving these tickets from agencies should relay this information to the non-profit providing tickets.

*Effective January 2, 2023: Greenlink’s buses will only accept exact change from passengers paying with cash and coins beginning. Bills larger than $1 for single trips (or larger than $5 for an all-day pass) will no longer be accepted upon boarding. Change can be made at the Transit Center via the change vending machine, or customers with larger bills can load value onto a Umo smartphone app account or a Umo smartcard at the Transit Center. To help with this policy transition, Greenlink will waive the Umo smartcard activation fee ($2) for any customer requesting a smartcard before February 1, 2023. Learn more about Umo

Greenlink’s EasyID - Reduced Fare ID Card Program

Greenlink offers a photo ID card to assist our customers who qualify for reduced fare pricing. This card is required for Veterans paying with cash/coin and seeking the discounted fare (due to the vast number of options to show proof of eligibility for Veterans) and is offered free of charge (early replacement fees may apply). The Greenlink EasyID can be used to quickly let Greenlink staff know to charge the reduced rate when boarding any bus or purchasing passes for our fixed route bus service. For complete details, download the information and application packet, or stop by the information booth for a printed copy.

Customers also have the option of completing the EasyID application online.
