Jil Littlejohn

About the Council Member

Jil has served on City Council since 2009. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in intercultural studies for business from Wofford College and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. She studied at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville, Spain and is fluent in Spanish. She also studied Japanese. 

Jil is Director of Diversity and Inclusion for Hubbell Incorporated. Prior to accepting her current position, she served as the first female president and CEO of the Urban League of the Upstate for six years. She is a graduate of the Municipal Association of South Carolina's Municipal Elected Officials Institute and is the founder of the Talented Tenth Greenville Leadership Conference.

A member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Jil has participated in a variety of civic service programs, including Connections: Women's Leadership Program, the Diversity Leadership Academy, Leadership Greenville, Leadership Spartanburg, Leadership South Carolina and the Women's Campaign School at Yale University. She has also received numerous awards, including Ebony Magazine Top Young Leader Under 30, Greenville Chamber Young Professional of the Year Finalist, Greenville Link Magazine's Top 50, Greenville Magazine Top 50 Influential People, Greenville's Best and Brightest Under 35 and Women Making History Honoree.
