GVL2040 Comprehensive Plan: We’re having a citywide conversation about change, focusing on where we are now and where we want to go in the next 20 years. This plan will guide elected officials, staff, planning board members and others when working with regulations, policies and projects that impact development and the quality of life in Greenville.

The South Downtown Planning Area

South Downtown Master PlanThe City of Greenville hired Urban Design Associates, an international urban design and architecture firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to conduct a community workshop and study on connectivity in the South Downtown area of Greenville.

Swamp Rabbit Trail Extension Master Plan: The City of Greenville has begun a master planning process to take a closer look at land use and opportunities for connections to the planned 4.5-mile extension of the Swamp Rabbit Trail from Cleveland Park to CU-ICAR.

County Square Redevelopment: Follow the progress of this 40-acre South Downtown site as it is redeveloped into an urban environment designed to complement downtown with a mix of commercial, residential, public/institutional and service/industrial uses.

West Greenville Comprehensive Plan cover page

2014 West Side Comprehensive Plan: This plan is community-led plan for improving the livability of the West Side, including an analysis of the demographics and economy. The report addresses two important issues:

  • Maintaining artists in residence in the Village of West Greenville
  • Attracting a grocery store to the west side
