Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

When it comes to giving back to the community, Greenville shines bright!  With the compassionate support of our corporate partners, we can keep our greenspaces beautiful, and improve the lives of those who call Greenville home.

There are so many advantages associated with corporate volunteerism. Dedicating time, talent and treasure to a cause demonstrates your organizational values and community impact. Advantages include:

  • Attract and retain candidates who share similar values and interests.
  • Demonstrate meaningful investments in the community your employees and company reside.
  • Strengthen team bonds, increase employee engagement and build company culture.

We have opportunities available in both our Parks Division and our Tourism Division, so we can find something that's best fit for your group.

Our corporate volunteer opportunities are focused on ecological protection, restoration and upkeep. We are happy to partner together to identify volunteer and sponsorship opportunities that fit your interests and can tailor volunteer projects and tasks for all skill levels, abilities and ages.

The Cargo Agency Workday

Recently, The Cargo Agency volunteered in Cleveland Park to remove non-native invasive species on the hillsides next to Shelter 2. Their work that day was significant, and our Parks crews have continued to upkeep the area!

"At Cargo, we're big believers in community - in giving back to the place we live, work, and are lucky enough to call home."

- Cara Sinicropi-Dezzi, Associate Art Director

Special Events | Group Volunteer Opportunities

The City’s Special Event Department offers organizations and local nonprofits the opportunity to fill key positions at downtown events. In return, volunteer groups collect tips from weekly events (Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive or Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays) or revenue from Artisphere or Fall for Greenville based on hours worked during the weekend.

Current Opportunities

We are currently accepting applications for nonprofit beneficiaries for our weekly events (Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive and Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays). These groups supply volunteers in return for tips.

GROUP REQUIREMENTS

Nonprofit groups are required to be a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the South Carolina Secretary of State in order to participate. If your group or company is not a registered 501(c)3, you may collect tips or revenue on behalf of a registered 501(c)3 organization. If you wish to apply to volunteer with your organization, please contact the City of Greenville Volunteer Coordinator.
