Parks and Recreation provides opportunities for our community members to join us as we work to restore parks, trails, greenspaces, and riverbanks in Greenville.
Volunteer groups primarily focus on ecological restoration efforts by removing non-native invasive plants throughout our parks. While some of these plants may be beautiful, invasive plants cause harm to the environment, economy, and even human health by disrupting the native ecosystem. Volunteer efforts help restore these ecosystems and bring back the conditions that support healthy natural habitats. Volunteers may also work with Parks staff to improve park amenities through cleaning, painting, trash pick-up and other projects as needed. Whether you're considering a service project or a more long-term investment, every volunteer makes a difference!
