City workers prepared a new sub base for the curb and gutter along sidewalks on McDaniel Green and Sherwood Street.

The Culvert Project on Bennett, Mohawk and Chick Springs includes replacement of three creek crossings. This picture shows a 10’ x 10’ box culvert that was added to the existing crossing. Up stream crossings will be replaced with double 8’ x 8’ box culverts and a 24’ x 7’ arch span bridge. Also included will be guardrail, sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm drainage, and paving.

City workers completed the stamped sidewalks at the Augusta Road Fire Station, at Faris Road.

Construction is underway at the $50 million Kroc Center development, at 331 S. Hudson Street.

The Kroc Center will be constructed on 17 acres and include an education center, performing arts theater, fitness room, Boys and Girls Club, gym, indoor swimming pool, lighted artificial turf soccer field and 16 tennis courts.

City crews regularly repair trip hazards on sidewalks throughout the city. This recently completed project was on East Broad Street, right off Main Street.

The concrete crew installed new handicap ramps at the intersection of Falls and East Broad streets.

City crews complete many routine tasks to keep our streets in excellent condition. Workers recently pressure-washed two miles of Main Street, from the Hyatt Regency to Fluor Field in the West End.
