Resources for Residents
There are several steps that the residents and corporate citizens of Greenville
can take live and operate more sustainably. Conserving energy and water, reconsidering
your transportation modes, reducing your waste and recycling are just some of the
ways you can promote environmental and economic sustainability within Greenville.
One of the first steps is to know your ecological and carbon footprint. The
Environmental
Protection Agency has an emissions calculator to give you an estimate of how much
energy you use, what the emissions are, and how much money you can save by making
simple changes. More specifically you should also
measure your carbon footprint.
These calculations allow you to see where you stand with your everyday activities
and show opportunities to make large and small changes.
To support your efforts some helpful tips, links and resources that you can use
at home, at work and at school are listed below.
