Mulch
You can create your own mulch. To learn more about composting and generating your own mulch, see our composting program information.
Free mulch is available at the Twin Chimneys Landfill for give away to individuals, businesses and landscapers. Our mulch consists of ground-up yard waste (i.e. tree limbs, logs, leaves and grass clippings) collected throughout the county.
By using our mulch, citizens help the environment and at the same time help Greenville County hold down landfill space and costs. Mulch is also useful in the garden to conserve water, maintain weed control, and to provide nutrients for plants.
