Rain Barrel Giveaway
Sponsored by the City of Greenville and Upstate Forever, free 55-gallon rain barrels
will be provided to the first 100 city of Greenville residents (only one
per household) who register online by Sept. 7, 2011. You must attend the event to receive your rain barrel.
The rain barrel pick-up date will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at the TD Center
(formerly Carolina First Center), at Eisenhower and
Pleasantburg Drive. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
If not all barrels are pre-registered for online then those remaining barrels will
be available on a first-come, first-serve basis on the date of the event. Residents
who have not pre-registered must show proof of city residency by presenting a valid
driver’s license and current utility bill when they pick up the barrel. Recipients
are also required to stay for a short presentation (approximately 20 minutes) by
representatives from the City of Greenville and Upstate Forever and must fill out
an evaluation sheet at the conclusion of the presentation.
Rain Barrel Online Registration Closed
The rain barrel quota has been met, and the city is no longer accepting applications. Once city of
Greenville residence has been verified, a confirmation email will be supplied to
those who applied. This email must be brought to the rain barrel event
at the TD Center and presented to receive the free rain barrel.
