Public Information
The Public Information Division encourages, facilitates and maximizes citizen
awareness, input and participation in all aspects of city government through
printed publications and management of the City’s web site and G-TV 15, the
City’s government access channel. The Public Information Division also assists
the media in accessing information about City issues, programs and events, helps
coordinate special projects for other city departments and provides internal
communication to City employees.

Through Greenville Cares, the City’s customer service call center, and
Neighborhood Services, the Public Information Division assists residents in
utilizing City services and other community resources and works with established
neighborhood associations and emerging organizations to help strengthen and
improve Greenville’s neighborhoods.

Special Events
Additionally, all events held on public property within the City of Greenville
are managed by this division. The City hosts more than 100 events annually. The
events staff strives to provide diversity of events and entertainment choices,
ranging from kayaking to a summer concert series, and enjoyed by visitors and
residents alike.
