Special Events
The City of Greenville Special Events
Division strives to provide the community with a diverse selection of events and
entertainment choices. From musical entertainment to sporting events to
world-class food festivals, the City is proud to host almost 200 event days a
year.
The Public Information and Events Department produces and permits special events
for the City of Greenville. Individuals, organizations and agencies wishing to
conduct public gatherings on City of Greenville property are required to obtain
a permit. Examples of permitted events include block parties, concerts, parades,
carnivals, park events, races, road closings, performances, filming, ceremonies
and festivals. A special event permit application
must be filled out and returned 15 - 60 business days prior to the start of the
event.

Event Sponsorship
Many of our annual events draw thousands of participants to the Greenville area, and they would not be possible without the support of sponsors. Sponsorship of
a city event can afford your organization access to the Greenville market.
