National Bike Month is May, 2014, and Bikeville will be sponsoring and participating in numerous events throughout the City. The following calendar of events will be of interest to all bike, pedestrian, and community activists. A safe and functional bicycle infrastructure is fundamental to a healthy city! Saturday, May 24, 7 pm:
FREAK BIKE to benefit Upstate Sorba
Costume bike ride from Sunrift Adventures in Travelers Rest to Compadre’s in downtown Greenville at "social ride" pace. Headlight, rear safety lights, and helmet are required. Upstate SORBA fundraiser: suggested donation of $10.

Saturday, May 31, 10 am-1 pm:
Demo Day at South Main Street, between Court Street and West Camperdown Way. A unique event that fosters increased awareness for the cycling community within Greenville and for organizations within the Greenville cycling community. Concluding the City's Bike Month activities, the event will allow participants to view and demo various types of bicycles, accessories, clothing, and repair services from a 11 different local vendors. The event will take place on S. Main Street from Court Street to W. Camperdown Way with S. Main Street being closed to vehicular traffic. Learn more at www.bikeville.org/demoday

Saturday, May 31, 10 am-1 pm:
Commuting and Road Basic Safety Class at Demo Day on South Main Street. This event includes an ABC Quick Check, how to change a tire and 4 on bike avoidance skills. Helmets and a bicycle are required to complete all portions of the class.
