Boggs Street Changing to One-Way Traffic

Boggs Street sign

Effective Tuesday, April 18, Boggs Street will become a one-way street, with a direction of travel from Falls Park Drive to River Street. Currently, Boggs Street does not meet City of Greenville standards for a two-way street, and an increase in the traffic on Boggs Street due to development in the area has created a safety issue. The City’s Traffic Engineering Division explored both one-way options; however, engineers determined that insufficient sight distance at the intersection of Boggs Street and Falls Park Drive would have created an additional safety hazard for vehicles and pedestrians if Boggs Street were made one-way from River Street to Falls Park Drive. Engineers expect the change to improve both safety and traffic flow in this area of downtown.
