Public Invited to Discuss Future of Bobby Pearse Community Center

The City of Greenville will host three community engagement sessions to discuss the status of the Bobby Pearse Center and give Parks & Recreation program participants, neighborhood residents and the general public an opportunity to provide feedback regarding the future of the center. Sessions will begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 14, 28 and Sept. 11, at the Sears Recreation Center, 100 E. Park Ave. Citizens should attend the session that is most convenient for them. Individuals who are unable to attend any of the sessions can submit written feedback to by Friday, September 14.  

The Bobby Pearse Center has been closed since late May when it was damaged by a falling tree. Since then, all programs and activities that were scheduled to take place at the center have been temporarily relocated to the Sears Recreation Center.
